Sevington Playgroup Daily Routine

9am   Children arrive, parents / carers settle children in. 

Children can choose from a range of Indoor and Outdoor activities

9.30am  Carpet time / planning time / register

                    Children come together and discuss which activities they would like to participate in.  Discussions can also be about the weather / calendar or a show and tell time.  Children return to free play

10.00am  Snack bar open. 

Children can choose to come to snack table when ready.  Children find their own name, wash their hands and choose a snack.  Children can return to free play.

11.15am  Key person time. 

Key person can choose children to participate in small group activities related to next steps in learning journals.

11.40am  Tidy up time / Story time. 

All children are encouraged to tidy away the activities. 

12.00pm    Morning children are collected. 

Afternoon children arrive.

12.00pm    Lunch Time.

Full day children go and sit at the lunch table ready to be joined by afternoon sessional children to eat lunch together.  Register taken. Children wash hands and collect own lunch box and sit at table together in small groups with an adult. 

12.30pm    Lunch club ends. 

Free play.  Children can choose from adult directed and child initiated activities.

 1.30pm    Snack bar open. 

Children can choose to come to the snack table when ready.  Children can continue to free play.  Children find their own name wash hands and choose a snack.

2.15pm   Key person time. 

Key person can choose children to participate in small group activities related to next steps in learning journals.

2.40pm  Tidy up time / Story time. 

All children are encouraged to tidy away the activities ready for a story.

3.00pm                 Home Time
